For I know well the plans I have in mind for you
—oracle of the LORD—
plans for your welfare and not for woe,
so as to give you a future of hope.

Jeremiah 29:11

When St. John Baptist de La Salle launched his educational ministry serving impoverished children nearly 350 years ago, he and his fellows faced challenging circumstances—strained resources coupled with many unknowns. There was no precedent for the work they had undertaken, yet they innovated and persevered, supported by the efforts and prayers of others.

Our Christian Brothers’ schools face similar circumstances today, as fall approaches and instruction begins amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Like De La Salle and the early Brothers, our teachers and staff will meet the challenges with determination, creativity and courage, serving their students with faith and hope. We invite you to support our school communities with prayer as they begin this unique school year.

The Brothers of our Provincialate and Holy Family Communities will add their own prayers and remember your special intentions, too. We are most grateful for your participation and wish you safety, health and peace.

Fraternally,

Brother Mark Murphy, FSC

Matthew D. Powell

We invite you to fill out the form below and the Brothers’ community will include you and your special school intentions in our prayers, as our schools resume instruction during this extraordinarily challenging year.
