Advent Intentions

“It is not you that shapes God, it is God who shapes you. If then you are the work of God, await the hand of the artist who does all things in due season. Offer him your heart, soft and tractable, and keep the form in which the artist has fashioned you. Let your clay be moist, lest you grow hard and lose the imprint of his fingers.”

St. Irenaeus

Let us pray for you and your intentions this Advent.

Advent is a season of waiting. Yet waiting doesn’t imply inaction. With hope, we prepare for the coming of Christ by praying, reflecting, giving and serving. And these actions taken during the Advent journey can help shape us—in conjunction with God’s hands—not only for the upcoming season but for our continuing journey as Christians in the world. As members of our Lasallian community, we’d like to assist you as you wait and act this Advent season, by offering our prayers for your intentions.

Simply fill out the enclosed card–and send it back to us here at Mont La Salle. The Brothers’ community will include you and your intentions in our prayers every day during Advent as we wait in joyful anticipation for the Word to be made flesh.

Wishing you a peaceful and blessed Advent season.

Fraternally,

Brother Mark Murphy, FSC
